Finca Carrizal is owned by Oscar Alberto Madrigal Chacon. He has been a coffee producer for over 30 years and his whole family is involved in the coffee production on their farm. Even Oscar’s children have an interest in high quality coffee growing!

The coffee was processed by Solis&Cordero micromill which was founded in 2018 with a goal to help smallholders in the Santos region. The mill provides a variety of services including cherry processing, selling green and roasted coffee, consulting, and export services.

This Red Catuai is processed as a red honey. At intake, the cherry is sorted and fermented for 48 hours. It is then pulped and transferred to raised beds with the remaining mucilage.

Expect notes of black currant, cranberry, and cocoa with a sticky and coating mouthfeel!
